Our Mission

T.E.A.D. Equestrian Association for the Disabled is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for children and adults with a disability through a unique form of proven therapy with the use of horses.

About Us

Operating on a 92-acre horse farm in Mount Hope, Ontario, T.E.A.D. has a group of highly-skilled, nationally certified riding instructors; a network of more than 250 volunteers; a small, skilled and dedicated staff and a very active volunteer Board of Directors.

Since its inception in 1978 The Equestrian Association for the Disabled (T.E.A.D.) has provided thousands of individuals young and old with a different approach to their situation. Located in the rolling pastures of Mount Hope, T.E.A.D. is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities through equestrian therapy, a proven method in dealing with the challenges presented to them by their disabilities. We endeavor to fulfill our mission statement with honesty, integrity and accountability, with which the professionalism and compassion of staff, instructors and volunteers empower our riders with disabilities to a level of riding that earns the respect of all involved at T.E.A.D.

National Volunteer Week April 21-27, 2013

T.E.A.D. Events

Our 12^th Annual Golf Tournament is being held on Friday June 14^th at Knollwood Golf Club. The only tournament in town where the “ceremonial tee-off” is done from the back of a horse!
